Slam City Jam 2006
This year is the 13th annual Slam City Jam and it will bring Skateboarding’s hottest Athletes to Calgary, August 25-27,
2006. It will mark the first time in the event’s history that it has been held outside of Vancouver. Slam City Jam is the North American Championships of Skateboarding AND A MAJOR EVENT ON THE WORLD CUP OF SKATEBOARDING. It is the longest running skateboarding contest on the continent. MORE THAN 150 of the world’s best PROFESSIONAL Skateboarders will battle it out for over US$100,000 in prize money and the North American Championship titles. If you have never been to it, mark your calendars and plan a trip to Canada to check it out.
“Calgary is one of the country’s hottest skateboarding markets and a proven sports and entertainment capital as home of the world-famous Calgary Stampede and the 1988 Winter Olympic Games. The DC Nationals skaters will love the city and love the pro atmosphere created at Slam City Jam,” said Kleo Landucci, president of Slam City Jam.
