The Dew Action Sports Tour is hitting 18 cities and will have over 10,000 spectators including pros and companies that want to find skaters to sponser! There is also a BMX tour hitting 8 cities. The top BMX and skaters get flown to Portland, Oregon for Free Flow Tour Finals, August 17–20. There will be one winner per event, and those winners get to compete in the wild card slot (against the pro guys) at the PlayStation® Pro in Orlando, Florida, October 12–15. Competitors not only have a chance to go pro, but also can win cash prizes up to $7,000. Everyone takes home free giveaways and there will be autograph sessions and more!

Micah joins the 360skate skateboard team. Sure he can’t walk yet but you should see him skate. He is the youngest rider on the team by far at a little over a year old. His joining the team at such a young age is partially biased, since his dad owns the shop. He trains daily chasing his 2 older sisters around the house on his board. His competition tour schedule is not going to start for another few years due to in inability to walk, talk and use the bathroom on his own. Keep an eye out for this shredder in the future.

EUROPE - On March 7th Santa Cruz announced its 2006 Summer Euro Enduro Pro Team Tour. The skate team is hitting several Europe locations this summer. Featuring pro skaters and guests.

LAS VEGAS- On April 6th, skating legend and Olympic gold medalist Danny Way announced that he will attempt to break another world record for the “Bomb Drop,” or “Highest Drop on a Skateboard.”Way will drop from the giant neon guitar on top of the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel. Way previously had made the Guiness Book of World Records when he became the first person to jump the Great Wall of China on a skateboard in 2005. The Hardrock Casino event is free and will be held in the hotel parking lot from 6-8.

The “Bomb Drop” is when a skater drops from a structure, free falling onto a landing. The current world record for the bomb drop is held by Norweigan Adil Dyani. Way will attempt to nearly double his record. Guiness World Records will be attendance to record the distance of his drop.

• Height of Guitar/total drop: 66’/20m; Likely freefall 20-30’/6-10m;
• Width of landing ramp 24’/7.27m; Flat bottom 64’/19.4m;
• Height of quarterpipe 27’/8.2m; Width of quarterpipe 48’/14.54m.
• Entry speed into top of ramp: 30mph/48kmh; Exit speed c45mph/72kmh.
• Current record 12’ 3.6”

Also making apperances on the giant vert ramp, constructed by John Tyson and VP Industries are pros Bob Burnquist, Pierre Luc Gagnon, Colin McKay, and Jake Brown. They will be riding the previous day, April 5th.

The forums have also been overhauled to blend with the overall look and feel (but there is more to come in the forum section in the months to come, Shhhh).
